EP08 . THINGS THAT MAKE YOU GO Mmm
Mo and Mandy get free tix to hit-or-miss experiences. They witness the sexiest Twin Cities mayor – not Jacob Frey – Ham it up at MinnRoast. Some of us were too drunk at the Chan – not Mandy. Then a shocking new hire in town has us like, “tha fuck?”
EP07 . “JOURNALISM”
Mo and Mandy get tired of shit-talking shows and decide to review reviews. What started as a critique of bad metaphors turns into an all-out dramatic reading. Shoutout to the homies who are dismantling systems and literally burning it down.
EP06 . WAIT, ARE WE HAVING FUN?
Mandy and Mo try to have guests — Dicey and Tor (No Mi Digas). The group tries to discuss Roe, Mother Courage, and The Cradle Will Rock while simultaneously eating Chinese food. SCANDAL! Overture Center for the Arts, WI ruffles the Asian-American community by programming Miss Saigon and the King and I back to back and then firing their academic talk back panelists for asking “inflammatory” questions resulting in a public, soapbox teach-in outside of the venue.
EP05 . Tequila Mockingbitch
Milestone tequila cocktails and women’s history month contributions. Mandy and Mo bitch about programs — like seriously the planet is DYING!!! Uncomfortable-white-male laughs during raw moments and demands a talk back. A (re)review of a Pillsbury House show to ONCE AGAIN pick up the slack of Twin Cities art critics. Brief cameo by Martin Leo Lais.
EP04.5 . RAW AND UNCUT – POD MERGENCY: PROCESSING CTC
Mo and Mandy interrupt their depressive downward spiral that has kept episodes 5 – 8 in backlog to bring you unique, unedited black-and-brown-ass thoughts on the audacity of the Children’s Theater Company caucasity. White privilege, triggers and more recorded over the serene sounds of the studio cat fountain.
Content warning. We talk about a sexual assault and rape.
EP04 . PROTECT ANNIE AT ALL COSTS
Mo and Mandy breakdown some local season announcements while smackin’ on ice cream (sorry). They change the rules to the game fuck, marry, kill – so they can murder. Bobo auditions for Annie, the entire episode (sorry). And, your hosts grapple with how a community mourns a legacy of genius artistry and trauma.
EP03 . THE DURTY GURDY
Mo and Mandy attempt to explain what “The Wolves” was about. An audience member that wants to go home and watch cartoons participates on stage. “As You Like It” had hot queers so, whatever. Then, they muster up energy to talk shit about board diversity, institutional racism and reperdations.
EP02 . OH FER TUNA!
Mo and Mandy get their ear drums assaulted by the earthly rumblings of 13th century vagrant monks. They also reflect on extreme accessibility issues and recap a play about old people called “The Children”. Plus, a basketball play with a phallic set design.
EP01 . ANYBODYS: A NEW GAY MUSICAL ©
Mo and Mandy rate the Top 10 Shittiest Shit of 2018 and 9 other terrible things. They brainstorm about how to make West Side Story gay with a possible trans identity. Tea is dripped on a questionable monster mash-up of journalistic mess about how institutional change burdens the patriarchy.
